Creative Type Podcast: Conversations for visual artists and art lovers

Episode 36: What Happens to My Art After I Die?

Episode Summary

In today’s episode of Creative Type Podcast Lori and Jaime talk about what happens to our art once the artist dies. Not a subject most want to think about but a necessary topic.

Episode Notes

What happens to our art when we die? Will someone find it in yard sales or thrift stores? Will it be in your nephews attic or basement? Or are you hoping it will be in museums and collections? As artists, it’s necessary to plan for where our artwork will go once we pass on. It’s up to us to let our wishes be known for who gets what and to acknowledge the fact that who we want to have it, may not want it. Listen and send us your comments or thoughts about today’s episode. We’d love to hear from you.

Attention artists: Would you like to be among the first to be interviewed by us? Just email us at creativetypepodcast@gmail.com and we’ll send you the questions. If you have a photo of you in your creative space, send that too and we can use it for social media. When it’s your turn, Lori and Jaime will read the answers on the podcast and provide links in the show notes and all social media!
